A gift for our new and renewing members, our Artist Edition Series focuses on sharing the most exciting talents from emerging markets in countries all over the world. The artists we partner with for this series are committed to innovation, growth and participating in a global discourse. We hope that by bringing their work to you we can shine a light both on the artists themselves and on the cities in which they work, which are often dynamic sites of artistic production.

"Lines" by Farah Khelil

She has been received as resident at the Art Sensitif Resources Center, Mains d’œuvres (Paris) in 2010, Perception de la Ciutat, Centre Cívic Fort Pienc (Barcelona and Saragossa) in 2006 and more recently at ATER, Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University in 2013.
Khelil’s practice deals with the point of view as plastic or textual data but also as a condition of approach of the work of which the viewer becomes witness and reader. She mixes different techniques to give a wide-range of points of view about being and living together. Codes are diverted, redistributed and multiplied to create new meanings. The artist develops forms of artistic approaches that install distance with the image, mediation role of the technical object and the portrait of the artist as translator.
