Art lovers, get ready! Desert X 2025 returns to the Coachella Valley from 8 March to 11 May, bringing another striking blend of art and nature. The renowned outdoor exhibition features large-scale, thought-provoking installations set against the desert’s dramatic backdrop.

“Curated by the place it temporarily inhabits, Desert X reveals the landscape of the Coachella Valley as a canvas of real and imagined histories, narrating tales of displacement, sovereignty, and adaptation superimposed over visible testaments of time” - Kaitlin Garcia-Maestas, Co-Curator of Desert X 2025.

Here’s what we’re excited about:

• Sanford Biggers (Unsui (Mirror) – A dazzling installation featuring two glimmering sequin sculptures.
• Muhannad Shono (What Remains) – Using fabric and sand, Shono explores themes of identity and land. After seeing his work in Saudi Arabia this January, we’re eager to experience his latest piece.
• José Dávila – Drawing from quarries south of the U.S.–Mexico border, Dávila’s marble installation makes a historical and contemporary statement, echoing Robert Smithson’s site/nonsite concept. We had the chance to visit his Guadalajara studio, making this work even more exciting to see.
