Against the backdrop of Frieze (1-5 May), New York Art Week 2025 is set to be extra special as we mark The Cultivist’s 10th anniversary in bold, unforgettable style. We’re reviving our iconic boxing-themed party, first staged in 2016, with a fresh twist—bringing together past collaborators and new voices for a night of art, performance, and electrifying energy.

Curated by artist Cheryl Pope and our Global Executive Director Joey Lico, the night will feature eight performance rounds, each pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. From whispered words exchanged upon impact to noise-cancelling headphones and texts selected by renowned artists, each match will unfold as a unique interplay between movement, language, and art. This immersive format challenges traditional performance structures, fostering unexpected dialogue and creative experimentation.

With a lineup blending original participants and emerging talents from the past decade, this one-night-only event captures the essence of The Cultivist—risk-taking, collaboration, and a deep commitment to artistic engagement.
