With a Master of Arts in Fine Arts and extensive experience working with photography as a medium, Leikun Nahusenay’s work is a constant play with media and form. Always exploring the use of process and progress, Nahusenay seeks to connect art with life in anyway possible. Working from his particular position in time and space, he is conscious of his unique perspective, and utilizes it to create work that shares his singular voice.
Whether working in photography, painting or mixed media, Nahusenay frequently employs an intricate process of layering and juxtaposition to construct images that reflect the local scenes and visual traditions of the artist’s region in an unexpected way.
